Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical research and prepare documentation on the operational, environmental, and economic impact of cement manufacturing technologies, including alternative fuels, low-clinker cement, and carbon capture initiatives.
  • Translate complex process and environmental data into clear, structured content for use in grant applications, ESG reports, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Collaborate with plant engineers and external consultants to ensure technical accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Stay current on trends in sustainable construction materials, decarbonization strategies, and regulatory developments affecting the cement and building materials sector.
  • Support the development of HMRC-compliant R&D claims and innovation reporting for public or private sector funding.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in calcined clay cement, including involvement in commissioning new cement plants, cement manufacturing, process engineering, and industrial decarbonisation projects.
  • Familiarity with, or hands-on experience in, Lepol grate kiln technology used in cement production.
  • Strong technical writing skills with a track record of producing documentation for funding applications, regulatory submissions, or industry stakeholders.
