Summary: The Construction Lifting Operations Specialist will support a European assessment programme for a global data centre operator, focusing on auditing and improving lifting operations across multiple construction sites. This role requires deep technical expertise in lifting operations and the ability to operate independently while producing actionable improvement plans. The position is home-based with travel across Europe and is initially contracted for three months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Auditing lifting operations across multiple European construction sites, including crane and non-crane lifting activities
- Reviewing lift planning processes, coordination of multiple cranes, clash protection and interface risk controls
- Assessing the performance of contractors undertaking lifting operations
- Collecting, collating and analysing lifting-related data to identify trends and root causes
- Producing structured reports outlining findings, causes and required corrective actions
- Developing practical improvement plans to be implemented across sites and regions
Key Skills:
- Proven specialist experience in construction lifting operations
- Appointed Person qualification
- Strong background in auditing lifting activities on complex construction projects
- Demonstrable experience analysing data and identifying trends across multiple sites
- Confident report writer able to translate findings into actionable improvement plans
- Experience with datacentres would be ideal

The successful individual will operate independently across sites, assessing lifting practices, identifying trends and producing clear, practical action plans to improve standards.
