Group Safety & Safeguarding Compliance Lead UK (Remote) | International remit | Outside IR35 | Commencing in April / May

We are supporting a global, multi-division organisation on a key hire at group level. This is a high-impact transformation role , leading the design and implementation of a global safety & safeguarding compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will:

  • Lead a group-wide improvement programme across diverse operating environments
  • Design and embed global SOPs and risk frameworks
  • Develop a consistent incident reporting, escalation and investigation model
  • Lead the selection and rollout of a global reporting platform
  • Deliver playbooks, dashboards and governance structures to drive transparency and improvement
  • Review capability across divisions and shape the long-term operating model

This role is about strategic leadership design, oversight and influence —rather than day-to-day operations.

Ideal background:

We are particularly interested in senior professionals who have led compliance or safeguarding programmes within retail, hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education or other B2C businesses —typically within large, multi-site, customer-facing businesses .

You will bring:

  • Proven experience operating at group or international level , with responsibility for compliance programmes across multiple jurisdictions
  • A track record of driving transformation and embedding frameworks at scale
  • Strong stakeholder influence at senior/board level
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach within complex, decentralised organisations

A genuinely rare opportunity to shape a global framework from the ground up , with the flexibility of a fully remote role and outside IR35 engagement . It is envisaged that this will be an initial 6 month project with potential to extend. Start in April / May ideally.
