Summary: Danos is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with a Local Government Pension Fund. The role involves providing legal advice on various contracts and regulatory obligations, with the option for remote work and occasional visits to the Bristol headquarters. The ideal candidate will be England & Wales qualified with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on a range of contracts and arrangements including employment contracts, commercial contracts, supply of goods and services contracts, and documents related to investments.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant regulatory obligations impacting the fund.
  • Advise on the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Research and implement applicable laws and regulations from the FCA and advise the business accordingly.
  • Aid with FOIA requests.
  • Provide support to the wider business including Compliance and HR.

Key Skills:

  • England & Wales qualified with 2+ years PQE.
  • Broad commercial contracts experience.
  • Immediate availability preferred but not essential.

Detailed Description From Employer:

Danos has been mandated on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join a Local Government Pension Fund, sitting in a small team and reporting into the Director of Risk and General Counsel. The role will be based in Bristol, but the client are happy to consider candidates on a remote working basis, with occasional visits to the Bristol HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on a range of contracts and arrangements including employment contracts, commercial contracts, supply of goods and services contracts and documents related to investments by, or on behalf of clients.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all relevant regulatory obligations that have an impact on the fund.
  • Advising on the Data Protection Act 2018
  • Researching and implementing applicable laws and regulations handed down by the FCA and advising the business accordingly.
  • Aiding with FOIA requests.
  • Provide support to the wider business including Compliance and HR.

Your Profile:
