  • Draft, review, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including small works templates, central heating installation and maintenance contracts, dynamic purchasing systems, vehicle maintenance contracts, variation agreements, e-charging agreements, and bus shelter procurement.
  • Provide advice on framework agreements, building control queries, and business rate allocations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and partner authorities to ensure compliance and value for money.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).
  • Strong background in Commercial and Procurement law within the public sector.
  • Able to work independently and deliver high-quality advice remotely.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Locum Commercial Lawyer

  • Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and advise on a wide range of commercial contracts, including:

    • Small works templates and central heating installation and maintenance contracts

    • Dynamic Purchasing Systems for HR and waste caddy joint authority purchases

    • Vehicle maintenance and Christmas lights installation contracts

    • Variation agreements, joint authority agreements, and framework modifications

    • E-charging agreements, including maintenance, service transfer, and income generation

    • Bus shelter procurement and contract extensions

  • Provide advice on framework agreements, building control queries, and business rate allocations

  • Collaborate with internal departments and partner authorities to ensure compliance and value for money

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)

  • Strong background in Commercial and Procurement law within the public sector
