Summary: The role of Commercial Contract and Procurement Lawyer involves drafting complex commercial contracts and procurement documentation for a well-known combined authority in Oxfordshire. The position requires collaboration with legal experts to deliver a high-performing legal service and manage a high caseload effectively. This fully remote role is initially for five months with the possibility of extension and offers a competitive hourly rate. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of contract law and relevant experience in procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting high value and complex Commercial Contract and Procurement documentation.
  • Working closely with the Principal Lawyer and Service Lead to provide a customer-focused legal service.
  • Managing a high caseload in Contract and Procurement from start to completion.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with dispute resolution processes, including mediation and arbitration.
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with 3 years PQE experience in Contract and Procurement.
