Summary: The COBOL Developer role is a remote position requiring extensive experience in various programming and scripting languages, particularly COBOL and GoAnywhere. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and demonstrate problem-solving skills in software testing and implementation. Experience with the Texas Workforce Commission is also a key requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize COBOL and GoAnywhere for application development.
- Implement JCL and SQL, including Stored Procedures.
- Engage in scripting and batch processing in both legacy and current technologies.
- Apply SDLC principles and practices in software design and programming.
- Conduct accurate testing of software applications using a data-driven development approach.
- Resolve issues related to scheduling, testing, installation, and implementation of programs.
- Troubleshoot computer software systems effectively.
- Leverage experience with the Texas Workforce Commission.
