Summary: The Cloud Security Engineer role involves working with a leading financial services client on a data centre to AWS migration. The position focuses on building and maintaining security tooling within a hybrid-cloud environment. This is a remote position for a 6-month contract. The role requires proven expertise in cloud security engineering and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain security tooling within a hybrid-cloud environment.
- Support data centre to AWS migration efforts.
- Implement security best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures.
- Utilize scripting and programming languages for automation and security tasks.
- Manage and optimize security and network tooling, including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a cloud security engineering role.
- Knowledge of security best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, particularly Python and PowerShell.
- Excellent technical knowledge of AWS and Azure.
- Experience with SIEM platforms.
- Technical knowledge of security and network tooling, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
