Summary: The Cloud Security Engineer role involves supporting a significant cyber security programme for a financial services organisation, focusing on enhancing cloud security controls within AWS and Azure environments. This position is a 6-month contract that allows for remote work with occasional travel to London. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing cloud security measures and working with relevant security tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing cloud security controls across AWS or Azure environments
- Supporting secure cloud architecture and platform hardening
- Working with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender or similar
- Monitoring and responding to cloud security threats and vulnerabilities
- Supporting DevOps and engineering teams to embed security controls into cloud platforms
- Implementing security frameworks aligned with NIST, CIS or ISO 27001
Key Skills:
- Proven skills in cloud security controls implementation
- Experience with AWS and Azure environments
- Familiarity with cloud security tools

We’re looking for a Cloud Security Engineer for our consultancy client supporting a large cyber security programme for a financial services organisation. This is an initial 6 month contract paying between £400 to £600 per day Outside IR35. The programme focuses on strengthening cloud security controls across a large AWS and Azure environment as part of a wider cyber security transformation initiative. This role allows remote working with occasional travel to London when required. The successful Cloud Security Engineer will possess proven skills working with the following –
- Implementing cloud security controls across AWS or Azure environments
- Supporting secure cloud architecture and platform hardening
- Working with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender or similar
- Monitoring and responding to cloud security threats and vulnerabilities
