Summary: The Cloud Security Engineer role is a fully remote position focused on enhancing security operations within SaaS environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security operations and SaaS Security Posture Management, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication skills. This position requires a proactive approach to leading remediation efforts and implementing security best practices across teams. Candidates with a background in consulting or Fortune 500 companies, along with relevant certifications, will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead remediation efforts and track/report progress to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement leading security practices across technology and business teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus and understanding.
- Convey complex security problems and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Automate or script repetitive tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate SaaS applications and implement security controls.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in security operations or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solutions.
- Strong understanding of SaaS application security concepts and best practices.

- MS/MA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline; or 3+ years of additional experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in security operations or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solutions (CrowdStrike Falcon Shield preferred, but experience with other SSPM platforms is valued).
- Demonstrated experience leading remediation efforts and tracking/reporting progress to technical and leadership stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of SaaS application security concepts and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex problems and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills for building consensus and understanding across cross-functional teams.
