Summary: The AWS Cloud Security Architect role is a fully remote contract position focused on designing and implementing cloud-native security solutions within complex enterprise environments. The position requires a seasoned professional to lead security initiatives in a regulated organization, with a strong emphasis on compliance and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end security frameworks for AWS platforms aligned with best practice and compliance standards
- Provide strategic technical leadership on cloud security architecture and risk mitigation
- Define and enforce security patterns around IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and monitoring
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, SecOps, DevOps, and governance teams
- Support regulatory readiness and audit engagement
Key Skills:
- Proven experience designing AWS security architectures in large-scale enterprise settings
- Deep expertise in services like IAM, KMS, Config, CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and VPC security
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (eg ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS)
- Financial Services experience is highly desirable
