Summary: The Cloud Security Architect role is focused on managing cloud security operations, including tooling, monitoring, and risk management, while ensuring compliance across cloud environments. The position requires hands-on experience with various cloud platforms and security tools, as well as the ability to automate processes and develop security strategies. This role is fully remote and emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams to address security challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day (BAU) operations for cloud security platforms, including CNAPP, CSPM, SSPM, and CWP tools
- Manage cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations, including RBAC, group management, and Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML) processes
- Integrate cloud security tooling with enterprise systems to meet security, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Support Kubernetes and container security initiatives, including deployments using Helm charts and YAML configurations
- Monitor cloud environments for threats, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps
- Drive remediation efforts in partnership with engineering teams, ensuring issues are resolved within defined SLAs
- Provide cloud security consultation and define compensating controls when standard controls are not feasible
- Document security risks, control gaps, and business impact in a clear, actionable manner
- Develop scripts and automation using cloud APIs to extract, normalize, and analyze security data
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI or other business intelligence tools
- Automate security operations, evidence collection, and compliance reporting workflows
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or architecture roles
- Hands-on experience securing cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Practical experience with CNAPP, CSPM, CWP, and related cloud security tools
- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, risk management, and compliance controls
- Experience working in DevOps and CI/CD-enabled environments
- CISSP or CCSP
