Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries and workloads for efficient resource utilization and cost management.
- Monitor and tune Snowflake compute resources for optimal performance.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, partitioning, clustering, and indexing.
- Manage user roles, access controls, and data masking policies for compliance.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to enforce data governance policies.
- Audit and monitor data access and usage patterns for anomalies.
- Maintain clean and organized schemas, tables, and views across environments.
- Implement automated routines for purging obsolete data and metadata management.
- Ensure consistency and reliability of data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake.
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support data initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs and data team members.

Job Summary:
This resource will be joining the Platform Engineering team within the EDO, this person will be a part of helping to best optimize the Snowflake Platform as they scale its usage across the bank and prepare for the integration of a new Bank. This person will need to help drive best practices of Configuration, optimization, and observability as they scale the platform across the enterprise. This person will be a go to on a platform team and helping lead some of the most important work as acquisition work begins.
Performance & Optimization:
