Summary: This role is for an Azure Cloud Engineer tasked with leading high-impact cloud transformations for enterprise clients within a global IT services provider. The position involves defining the roadmap for Azure adoption and establishing a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) to drive a cloud-first culture. The role requires extensive experience in cloud strategy and senior leadership within cloud transformation programs. The successful candidate will engage with senior stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with long-term technology strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction for the organisation's Public Cloud landscape and the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE).
- Define and implement a sustainable CCoE capability, establishing governance, best practices, and enterprise-wide standards.
- Shape a robust Azure-first strategy aligned with Microsoft Enterprise Scale frameworks and cloud adoption blueprints.
- Act as the critical bridge between IT delivery and business leadership to accelerate value and cloud-native innovation.
- Engage with C-suite and senior stakeholders to align multi-million pound cloud initiatives with long-term technology strategy.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience leading or establishing a Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) within a complex, large-scale enterprise environment.
- Deep subject matter expertise in Public Cloud strategy, specifically focused on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Proven track record operating at a Senior Leadership or Director level within global cloud transformation programmes.
- Expert stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business strategy through technical cloud vision.
- Strong background in defining cloud operating models, financial governance (FinOps), and enterprise-grade security standards.
