Summary: The Cloud & DevOps Engineer Azure role involves designing, building, and optimizing Azure/M365 infrastructure and managed application services. The position focuses on delivering scalable and secure cloud solutions while ensuring operational excellence. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate business needs into functional solutions and improve coding standards and delivery processes. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for contract-to-hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver enterprise-grade Azure/M365 infrastructure and federated architectures for managed application services, ensuring optimal consumption and license efficiency.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software or infrastructure provisioning using Java, Python, Terraform, and similar technologies.
- Ensure solutions meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and responsiveness, while proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and defects.
- Collaborate closely with end users, product managers, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs, stories, and use cases into functional, scalable solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define and improve coding standards, DevOps best practices, and delivery processes.
- Perform Docker-based deployments on Kubernetes clusters, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Write, maintain, and deploy CI/CD build pipelines for cloud infrastructure and resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud and DevOps projects.
- Educational background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline (preferred).
- Strong experience with Java, Python, Terraform, or comparable programming and automation technologies.
- Proven experience leveraging CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications and infrastructure as code.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure) and DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced, high-impact environment.
