Cloud Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Application Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web and Windows applications used by internal staff and the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure, designing scalable microservices, and leading complex software development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web and Windows applications.
• Build cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Develop scalable REST APIs and microservices using .NET 7+/.NET Core or Node.js.
• Design and implement responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, or Vue.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and other development teams.
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions following industry best practices.
• Build integrations with Azure services and external SaaS applications.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Azure messaging services.
• Create CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical leadership.
• Estimate work, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to technical roadmaps.
• Ensure applications meet security standards, performance requirements, and coding best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide application support.
