Summary: The Cloud Azure Tools Specialist is a technical lead responsible for managing and configuring Azure-integrated tools while promoting best practices for data insights and innovation. This role serves as a bridge between technical infrastructure and business utility, ensuring effective adoption and secure management of cloud tools. The specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead various initiatives, including vendor management and training. The position is fully remote and is offered as a 6-month contract-to-hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain functional aspects of assigned tools; act as the primary SME for technical troubleshooting and service restoration.
  • Adoption & Training: Identify employee needs for tool utilization; create training materials (manuals, media, and plans) and lead delivery to ensure high adoption rates.
  • Vendor Management: Act as the technical point of contact for tool providers, leading business reviews and ensuring AF requirements are included in vendor product roadmaps.
  • Strategic Evaluation: Scout emerging technologies and evaluate the performance of current toolsets; provide recommendations to senior management for extensions or implementations.
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with InfoSec and Infrastructure to define user profiles and access management, ensuring all security models and policies are strictly applied.
  • Governance & Lifecycle: Document toolset deliverables from requirement gathering through implementation; participate in procurement (RFP/RFI) processes.

Position Overview

The Cloud Azure Tools Specialist is a technical lead responsible for managing, configuring, and promoting best practices for the Data Insights and Innovation toolset.
