Job OverviewThe CRISS Service in Leeds and York NHS Partnership Foundation Trust provides 24/7 urgent assessment and intensive home treatment provision to service users in Leeds experiencing a mental health crisis. The CRISS service is undergoing development and restructure of the service delivery model following a recent Core Fidelity assessment to 3 locality-based Crisis and Home Treatment Teams. The successful candidate will be involved in the implementation of this model supporting staff and colleagues through the changes.We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and dynamic individual, from any professional group with the relevant experience, who can provide clear leadership to the multidisciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapists, health support workers, and be committed to high quality service user focused care.Main duties of the job Be able to demonstrate a broad range of administrative, clinical, managerial and leadership skills, for the post in question and evidence to support this. Be able to demonstrate effective working partnerships within a multi-disciplinary team, to achieve an integrated, effective, and efficient service.Have evidence of up-to-date training relating to contemporary acute/CRISS/ practice, local and national issues. Be competent and confident, to provide expertise, advice and clinical and managerial leadership and role modelling to the teams they are working with. Be able to demonstrate a high level of skill and expertise in effective decision making whilst exposed to distressing and highly emotional situations. Have an understanding of local, directorate and national targets, key performance indicators and quality standards are met, monitored and reported on a regular basis. Ensure that services are reviewed, monitored and continuously improved within the framework of Clinical Governance. Operates within professional Trust policies and procedures and adhere to discipline specific clinical / professional codes of conduct. Assist the CRISS Clinical operations manager in ensuring robust financial management procedures are in place for the authorisation of pay and non-pay.Act as the authorised signatory for the team budgetWorking for our organisationThe Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. This is an essential requirement of the role, and the Trust is unable to offer you a role if you are unable to meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa.Detailed Job Description And Main ResponsibilitiesAs Clinical Team Manager (CTM) for CRISS you will offer management support and guidance to the staff team and lead on specific developments as identified. This post is one of 6 CTM posts covering the service over 7 days predominantly working a 9am -5pm pattern so may include some weekend working. The post supports the Operational Manager to provide the leadership structure for the service overall. You will support the other band 7 s in times of absence to ensure the whole service is functioning safely.Within this role the post will lead all aspects of clinical governance and service improvement in an ever-evolving climate. Good communication skills and ability to work in partnership with a number of other internal and external stakeholders is essential.We would welcome any contact from interested candidates on the role.Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteriaHave a recognised professional qualification e.g. Nursing / Psychology / Occupational Therapy with 2 years post qualificationExperienceEssential criteriaHave experience as a manager in an acute settingPrevious experience in a leadership role or equivalent experience.To demonstrate pervious experience on managing difficult and sensitive incidents in your current or previous roles- Lead on fact finding investigations, complaints, service reviews, disciplinary issues relating to all aspects of the team s role and function.Acute Mental Health ExperienceSkills / KnowledgeEssential criteriaHas a clear understanding of and commitment to the role of the CRISS services as defined service specificationTo have a knowledge base of Crisis and home treatment services that enable good and quality care.Organise, chair and facilitate team meetings- Have experience of facilitating and chairing meetings at both local and city wide levels.
