We are working with a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, to find a Contract Senior Civil Engineer to join their incredibly busy team. This role is specifically designed for a technical expert who thrives in the residential sector, managing the engineering challenges associated with large-scale housing developments.
The Contract Senior Civil Engineer will:
- Lead the design and management of infrastructure for major housing schemes, ensuring all civil elements are optimised for both adoptability and construction efficiency.
- Take full accountability for the design of estate roads and drainage systems (Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements).
- Produce and oversee complex designs for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), foul water networks, and earthworks modelling.
- Lead the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support planning applications and discharge conditions.
- Act as the primary technical contact for developers, local authorities, and water companies to secure technical approvals.
- Control project timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality delivery for some of the UK’s most prominent housebuilders.
- Provide technical guidance and quality control for junior engineers and technicians within the civil design team.
