We are currently partnering a Local Authority in Greater Manchester, in their recruitment for a locum Childcare Lawyer to join the team on a 3-6 month basis.The role offers remote working with Court attendance required in Manchester.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Handling a mixed caseload of around 15 matters at any time, with a focus on care proceedingsDrafting and settling of legal documentation with particular reference to Children s Social CareConducting litigation with particular reference to Children s Social Care and mattersAdvocating in contested and uncontested hearings in Court, and instructing Counsel at the Family Court as necessary, including preparing and managing casesExperience required:Childcare Law & Advocacy Local Government LawWorking hours:Up to 37-hours per weekPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
