Summary: The Childcare Advocate role involves acting on behalf of the County Council in childcare and related court proceedings, primarily within the Child Protection team. Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an advocate in cases prepared by team lawyers within the childcare team and manage all matters related to the conduct of the hearing.
• Provide expert legal advice on evidence quality, case strength, and other legal issues relevant to proceedings.
• Conduct work in accordance with practice management standards set by the Law Society (Lexcel) and departmental performance standards.
• Provide training to Legal Services members and clients to ensure compliance with legal standards.
