Summary: The Change Manager role involves overseeing and ensuring adherence to the Change Management process at Capgemini, working closely with ITIL and Support Towers. The position requires managing all aspects of Change Management for the customer, ensuring high-quality data for business intelligence. The Change Manager will also be responsible for risk mitigation, compliance with regulatory controls, and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the Change lifecycle. This is a remote position for a contract duration of 12+ months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and ensure adherence to the Capgemini Change Management process.
- Manage and carry out all aspects of the Change Management process for the Customer.
- Ensure high-quality data from the Change Management process for business intelligence.
- Understand and mitigate Change Implementation risk.
- Manage Changes within agreed timescales.
- Escalate damaging Changes to service quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal/customer regulatory controls.
- Enter Requests for Change (RFC) correctly in the Change Control System.
- Liaise with internal/external parties for information and approvals.
- Organize and chair Change Advisory Board meetings (CAB).
- Link Configuration Items (CI) to Changes.
- Inform all impacted parties throughout the Change lifecycle.
- Take control of Emergency Changes.
- Communicate rejection of Changes to the Change Sponsor.
- Collect artifacts for CAB meetings.
- Communicate decisions to affected stakeholders.
- Publish meeting minutes after CAB meetings.
- Conduct Approval votes.
- Consider Changes for the Standard Change list.
- Convene the CAB and create the agenda.
- Defer RFCs not discussed until the next meeting.
- Discuss issues and distribute meeting minutes.
- Ensure deferred RFCs are added to the next meeting's agenda.
- Facilitate Review sessions and follow up on action items.
- Identify follow-up/action items and assignees.
- Agree on alternate schedules for rejected requests.
- Ensure adherence to the CAB Charter.
- Moderate CAB meetings and allocate time for RFC discussions.
- Validate implemented Changes against original requirements.
- Verify completion of the Approval process.
- Verify Back-out Plan and Test Plans meet standards.
- Chair Post Implementation Review meetings as needed.

Responsibilities:
- This role will have the responsibility of administering and being accountable for and ensuring adherence to the Capgemini Change Management process and therefore will work closely with all ITIL towers and Support Towers.
- The Change Manager will administer, manage, and carry out all aspects of the Change Management process for the Customer.
- This role will also ensure data yielded from this process will be of high quality and provide management with the right level of business intelligence.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure that Change Implementation risk is understood and mitigated to increase the likelihood of successful implementation at first attempt
- Ensure that all Changes are managed as planned within the timescales agreed with the Change Requester
- Escalate any Changes which are damaging the quality of the service
- Ensure all Changes comply with internal/customer regulatory controls
- Ensure agreed Requests for Change (RFC) are entered correctly in the Change Control System and include a clear reason for the change
- Liaise with all internal/external parties to ensure that information and approvals for changes are communicated and understood by all stakeholders
- Organize and chair Change Advisory Board meetings (CAB), ensure agenda and reports issued to participants in good time
- Ensure Configuration Items (CI) are linked to the Change
- Ensure all impacted / interested parties are informed throughout the Change lifecycle
- Take personal control of Emergency Changes
- Communicate rejection of Changes to the Change Sponsor
- Collects artifacts (including Schedule of Changes Report and Projected Service Outage Report) for the CAB meeting
- Communicates decisions made to affected stakeholders (e.g. Agencies)
- Completes and publishes meeting minutes after each CAB meeting
- Conducts each Approval vote
- Considers Changes for addition to the Standard Change list
- Convenes the CAB
- Creates the agenda for the CAB
- Defers any RFCs not discussed until the next meeting
- Discusses any issues
- Distributes meeting minutes (including Changes that were re-scheduled, RFCs that were rejected, withdrawn, cancelled, or postponed and any required actions
- Distributes the agenda plus details of the RFCs that will be reviewed at the CAB meeting in advance
- Ensures any deferred RFCs are added to the next meeting s agenda
- Facilitates the Review session
- Follows up on action items identified in the CAB meetings
- Identifies follow-up/action items and assignees
- If the requested Schedule is rejected, either an alternate scheduled date, time and duration will be agreed at the meeting, or the Change will be postponed and discussed again at a subsequent CAB. Either way, makes necessary updates to the Change
- Makes sure the team follows the CAB Charter
- Moderates the meeting
- Reviews the list of RFCs to be discussed and allocates time and order accordingly
- Validates implemented Changes against the original requirements to ensure that the Change met all the objectives for which it was originally created
- Verifies that the Approval process is complete
- Verifies that the Back-out Plan meets Change Management process standards and requirements
- Verifies that the Post-Change Test Plan meets Change Management process standards and requirements
- Verifies that the Pre-Change Test Plan meets Change Management process standards and requirements
- Verifies that the Release Implementation Plan meets Change Management process standards and requirements
- Chair Post Implementation Review meetings (on an as-needed basis)
