Summary: The Carbon Specialist role focuses on supporting the Environment Agency's Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCRM) programme across the North-East and North-West of England, with an emphasis on managing carbon effectively to meet corporate sustainability targets. Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of the FCRM capital programme by managing carbon effectively.
- Conduct Carbon Assessment and Verification processes to meet corporate targets.
- Promote low-carbon thinking and provide insights into decarbonisation technologies.
- Verify projects' consideration of carbon reduction opportunities and assess performance against carbon budgets.
- Respond to incidents and provide business continuity support as required.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to effect sustainable change.
