Summary: The role of Business System Analyst focuses on the annuity domain, requiring expertise in gathering and analyzing requirements, solution design, and system implementation. The position is remote and involves collaboration with IT and development teams to ensure compliance and quality assurance. The analyst will leverage their knowledge of annuity products to inform recommendations and specifications. This is a 12-month contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and existing system analysis.
- Domain Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of annuity products (variable, fixed, indexed), their lifecycle (quote, application, issuance, claims, payout), regulations, and industry trends to all analysis and recommendations.
- Solution Design & Specification: Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams (using tools like Visio or Confluence) for the development and QA teams.
- System Configuration & Implementation: Partner with IT and development teams to ensure solutions are developed according to specifications, including supporting product configuration in relevant policy administration systems.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Coordinate and support testing activities, including developing test cases, facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects, and ensuring the final solution meets the business objectives and compliance requirements.
