Business Planning Analyst

Summary: The Business Planning Analyst role is a remote position for a global technology company, focusing on supporting small business initiatives and resource management across sales programs for an initial 12-month assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating vendor invoices, creating dashboards, and analyzing outsourced spending. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to drive alignment in planning and workforce management. The role demands a proactive approach to managing data and resource allocation effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate vendor monthly/quarterly invoices and costs
• Create scalable dashboards to flag outsourced expansion opportunities
• Centralize SPIFF strategies and uplevel incentives/SPIFF forecasting
• Refresh vendor expansion frameworks
• Conduct monthly deep dives on outsourced spend actuals and forecasts, providing flux commentary as needed
• Drive alignment across planning and workforce management, flagging data issues in trackers and prioritizing new requests

Key Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
• Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed
• Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses
• Experience working in a data-heavy environment
• Previous experience with computer applications
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables
• Experience with Google Sheets
• SQL a plus
