Job Description for Power BI Developer
3+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
Strong proficiency in DAX, including measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, and advanced analytical functions.
Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and Star Schema design principles.
Experience connecting Power BI to Azure Databricks, Data Lakehouse, or modern cloud data platforms.
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, scheduled refreshes, and security management.
Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting and visualization solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing Power BI Paginated Reports.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, and OneLake concepts.
- Experience with Power BI REST APIs, XMLA endpoints, and dataset administration.
- Experience with Git-based version control and Azure DevOps integration for Power BI projects.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.
- Exposure to insurance, financial services, or enterprise data analytics environments is a plus.
