Summary: The role of Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) involves leading consulting activities in the Insurance Line of Business across the Americas. The position emphasizes technology-enabled business transformation, leveraging deep insurance expertise alongside digital and strategic advisory capabilities to enhance client value. The SME will be responsible for developing transformation roadmaps, executing digital initiatives, and providing domain leadership in various insurance sectors. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders and a focus on driving operational efficiency and compliance within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital, business, and industry technology transformation roadmaps for the insurance sector
  • Design and execute customer service and customer experience (CX) transformation roadmaps
  • Lead process transformation initiatives using methodologies such as Design Thinking, SIPOC, and value stream mapping
  • Perform financial modeling, impact analysis, and business benefit realization
  • Conduct global and internal benchmarking, industry research, and development of Insurance Points of View (PoVs)
  • Support digital product implementations and digital service offerings in a Business Analyst capacity, leveraging Agile methodologies
  • Lead and support digital transformation initiatives, including automated underwriting, AI-driven claims processing, and legacy system modernization
  • Collaborate with technology architects and IT teams to align business requirements with technical solutions
  • Serve as the primary insurance domain expert across underwriting, claims, operations, reinsurance, actuarial, finance, and regulatory processes
  • Analyze and interpret key insurance KPIs, including loss ratio, expense ratio, retention rate, and policy growth metrics
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure compliance and competitive advantage
  • Lead stakeholder management, including senior client engagement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal creation, client presentations, and solution shaping
  • Liaise with external partners, reinsurers, and auditors to ensure effective communication and compliance
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and training for internal teams and business stakeholders
  • Mentor new joiners on insurance processes, products, and digital tools

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in the insurance industry with hands-on expertise across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, actuarial, financial, and regulatory domains

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to take a leadership role in directing Insurance Line of Business (LOB) consulting activities across the Americas region. This role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and focuses on delivering technology-enabled business transformation, combining deep insurance domain expertise with digital and strategic advisory capabilities to enhance client value propositions.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation

  • Develop digital, business, and industry technology transformation roadmaps for the insurance sector

  • Design and execute customer service and customer experience (CX) transformation roadmaps

  • Lead process transformation initiatives using methodologies such as Design Thinking, SIPOC, and value stream mapping
