Summary: The Business Application Engineer role requires a professional with 3-6+ years of experience in systems, integrations, or business applications. The position focuses on working with APIs, integration platforms, and SQL, while also necessitating strong communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data models and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems. Key Responsibilities:
- 3-6+ years of experience in systems, integrations, or business applications roles
- Strong experience working with APIs (REST, webhooks, JSON)
- Experience with integration platforms or ETL tools (Tray.io, Workato, MuleSoft, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of SQL or SOQL
- Understanding of data models and cross-system data relationships
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Experience with NetSuite or ERP systems
- Experience with these specific data platforms (Snowflake, Domo, Sigma)
- Experience in high-growth or complex operational environments
- Familiarity with Salesforce order of execution and automation best practices
- Experience with Salesforce administration and automation (Flows required)
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Internet/Intranet software as well as spreadsheet and work processing software, and project management programs
