Summary: The role of Business Analyst (Workflow/File Server) involves assisting in a short-term project focused on mapping workflows and defining file data and locations used in daily operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis of workflow processes and file server data mapping.
- Perform technical analysis of existing file servers, including data volume and access permissions.
- Engage in business analysis and workflow validation through targeted interviews and documentation review.
- Gather requirements and create process maps and communication documents.
- Document processes in accordance with company standards, including scope definition and requirements documentation.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend options for change.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Bench IT require an experienced Business Analysts to assist on a short-term project starting ASAP to map work flow to define which file data and locations they use as part of their general day to day. This project will be working remotely.
The successful candidates should have the skills and experience included below;
Required experience:
- Previous experience of working as a Business Analyst focussing on workflow process/file server data mapping is mandatory
- Discovery would focus on: requiring full discovery/detailed analysis, Finance (including AP, AR, Treasury and Billing), Marketing, HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Learning & Development & Legal
- Technical analysis of existing file Servers, (onsite) including: Volume of data, Access permissions, Frequency of access and modification & Identification of dormant or archival data
- Business analysis and workflow validation, including: Targeted interviews with agreed departments and key stakeholders, Validation of existing process documentation where available (to avoid duplication), Identification of where data is actually used vs where it is stored, Categorisation of departments by complexity to inform migration design
- Strong experience with requirements gathering
- Creating process maps & communication document
- Excellent documentation processes in accordance with company expectations eg Scope Definition, Requirements Documentation, Process models, User Cases, Traceability Matrices
- Analysing existing processes and recommending options for change
- Researching, documenting and analysis of requirements
- Should have experience working with multiple teams, external vendors and Stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
