Summary: The Business Analyst role involves supporting a public sector consultancy in delivering a new CRM-based application for the UK government. The position requires recent experience in central government and focuses on requirement gathering, backlog management, and collaboration with technical teams to ensure successful project delivery by March 2026. The role is remote-first and offers an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project from its inception.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough requirement-gathering sessions and create detailed process maps that clearly define the business needs for the product app.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritised backlog of work items, continually refining it to support successful delivery of the application.
  • Lead the refinement of work items, collaborating closely with developers and Delivery Managers to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with project goals.
  • Provide ongoing support throughout sprints to ensure work items are fully understood, accurately implemented, and completed to the required standard.

Key Skills:

  • Recent experience working within central UK government, ideally within digital delivery environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly, confidently, and transparently.
  • Proactive self-starter who can operate independently without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating high-quality workshops.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM is highly advantageous.
  • Strong ability to lead effective refinement sessions, working closely with developers.

SR2 is supporting a public sector consultancy on a vital new contract within central government. The project is delivering a brand-new CRM-based application that will transform how a national review team manages complex and sensitive casework, replacing a patchwork of legacy tools with a streamlined, purpose-built solution. You’ll play a key role in shaping and developing this new system, working with an experienced technical specialist and using modern CRM capabilities to bring real operational impact. This is an agile, fast-paced project aiming for delivery by March 2026, offering a rare opportunity to build something genuinely meaningful from the ground up. In order to apply, you must have recent experience working within central UK government and be available to start within 1 week.

Role:

Requirements:

  • Government experience is essential , ideally within digital delivery environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly, confidently, and transparently.
  • Comfortable working in the open and keeping the client well-informed about progress, risks, and decisions.
  • A proactive self-starter who can operate independently without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating high-quality workshops.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM is highly advantageous.
  • The role involves writing acceptance criteria aligned to Dynamics concepts as well as user-centred outcomes.
  • Strong ability to lead effective refinement sessions, working closely with developers to ensure they have the level of detail required to progress confidently
