Summary: The role of Business Analyst at emagine involves working remotely to support a critical business separation project within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulated financial services, particularly in Private Banking and Wealth Management, and will be responsible for managing business requirements and stakeholder relationships. This position requires a blend of banking, infrastructure, and data analysis expertise to ensure business continuity and effective engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary interface between business areas and the project, maintaining strong relationships and effective engagement.
- Lead the capture, validation, and ongoing management of business requirements, ensuring alignment with business continuity and agreed scope.
- Ensure the project engages the appropriate business stakeholders (decision-makers and subject matter experts), with clear accountabilities.
- Understand and articulate business constraints and sequencing needs, including regulatory, customer, operational, and peak-period considerations.
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and securing business sign-off for Business Readiness & Acceptance Criteria (BRAC) for assigned areas, working closely with IT project leads.
- Identify, document, and manage business risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating concerns early with clear impacts and options.
- Support problem-solving and option analysis when delivery approaches raise business concerns or risks (eg, complex desktop solutions).
- Identify and document process transformation opportunities, ensuring they are assessed by the project and appropriately managed to avoid unintended change.
- Collaborate with project and workstream leads to define delivery approaches, phasing, and cutover plans that are business-safe.
- Provide structured inputs into governance, risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID), and status reporting, clearly representing the business perspective.
- Liaise with the Communications Lead to ensure timely and appropriate messaging of key impacts to the relevant business communities.
