Summary: The Business Analyst – Data & Analytics role is a contract position focused on bridging the gap between IT capabilities and business objectives within a leading UK food sector company. The analyst will engage in requirement gathering, business process analysis, and data analysis to ensure technology solutions align with the company's strategy. This remote role requires collaboration with stakeholders and support for project management and change management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both IT and business practices, particularly in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Perform data analysis to support business case development, project scoping, and performance measurement.
  • Prepare detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and user manuals.
  • Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate that IT solutions meet the business requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of change management strategies to drive user adoption and minimize disruption to business operations.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with business process modelling, data analysis, and project management.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in an FMCG environment advantageous.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Suitable candidates may include Business Partner, Business Analyst, Analyst, IT Analyst, Supply Chain Business Analyst, SAP Analyst, System Analyst.

Job Role – Business Analyst – Data & Analytics

Reporting to the Business Partnering Manager the Business Analyst will serve as a critical link between information technology capabilities and business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both IT and business practices and will work to ensure that our technology solutions align with the company's overall strategy and goals.

Duties – Business Analyst – Data & Analytics

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications – Business Analyst – Data & Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with business process modelling, data analysis, and project management.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in an FMCG environment advantageous.
  • Experience working with SAP
