Boomi Field Services Engineer (FSE) with TypeScript & Azure Cloud

Summary: UnitedHealth Group is looking for a Boomi Field Services Engineer (FSE) with expertise in TypeScript and Azure Cloud to enhance integration and platform engineering within their healthcare ecosystem. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining integration workflows using Boomi AtomSphere and Azure infrastructure. The engineer will also ensure compliance with data governance policies while collaborating with various teams for deployment and maintenance. This position is remote and requires significant experience in integration and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable integrations using Boomi AtomSphere, connecting internal systems, partners, and cloud-native services.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts, extensions, and utilities using TypeScript/JavaScript for Boomi integration components.
• Build secure APIs and services, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and UHG's data governance policies.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain Boomi components on Azure.
• Monitor Boomi runtime environments (Atoms, Molecules) deployed in Azure App Services, VMs, or Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to data integrations and cloud deployments, ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for integration deployments with Boomi and associated microservices.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution architecture, and stakeholder reviews for integration projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support knowledge transfer and training as needed.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of integration experience with Boomi AtomSphere, including deployment, connectors, and process orchestration.
• 2+ years of development experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Key Vault, App Services, Storage Accounts.
• Knowledge of integration patterns: REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, FTP/SFTP, EDI, XML/JSON transformations.
• CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of OAuth2.0, JWT, TLS/SSL, and API security best practices.
• Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment is highly desirable.
• Boomi Professional Developer or Architect Certification preferred.
• Experience with HL7/FHIR integrations.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Knowledge of container orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other commonly integrated enterprise platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
