Summary: The BI Analyst Contractor role involves supporting reporting and analytics initiatives, primarily focusing on migrating reports from SQL Server to Databricks. The position requires strong Power BI skills and offers the opportunity to develop new business-critical reports. This is a fully remote position based in the UK for a duration of 12 months. Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate and recreate ~15 reports from SQL Server to Databricks.
- Update and use existing semantic models.
- Develop new reports based on business requirements, including requirements gathering.
- Document processes and perform thorough testing.
- Support reporting for Preventable Losses Programme (Group Procurement) and Legal Reporting (Group Legal).
Key Skills:
- Power BI & DAX – strong expertise is essential.
- SQL – solid querying and data manipulation skills.
- Version Control – experience with Git or similar VCS.
- Databricks & Python (including Spark Declarative Pipelines) – nice to have, but not mandatory.
