Banner Financial Consultant

Seeking a Banner Finance Consultant to support advanced operations of its Banner Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) Finance system.

The resource will work in the Office of Business & Finance supporting all aspects of Finance as it related to Banner with primarily focus on Finance, HR / Payroll, Student AR and Student and Financial Aid modules.

Additionally:

• Provide support for process improvement initiatives and system revitalizations
• Support services for custom reports
• Provide Banner specific training to staff
• Identify and help implement process improvements
• Other Banner support work as needed across university
• Provide data access processes that will enable team to focus on analysis
• Revise and organize the Chart of Accounts (COA).
• Streamline cash account reconciliation processes.
• Implement best practices for managing finance and fixed assets.
• Other duties as assigned
• Support Finance team with audit preparation.
• Work with team to provide reporting & data analysis as needed.
• Ensure all financial records are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: Mandatory Resume Requirements

• Explicit 5+ years of Banner Finance experience (state the years and modules)
• Hands-on work with the listed Banner modules (Finance primary; HR/Payroll, Student AR, Student, Financial Aid)
• Similar assignments in higher education or public-sector environments
• Functional depth in the exact areas above (process improvement, system revitalization, COA work, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, custom reports, staff training, audit support, data analysis, GAAP compliance)
• Specific responsibilities, client/institution names, dates, and outcomes where possible
