Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to work on a contract basis.
This role involves representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.
The attorney will draft and file petitions, motions, and other legal documents, while providing strategic advice to clients navigating financial distress.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all phases of bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.
- Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, motions, and other legal documents with courts.
- Provide legal advice to clients on debt restructuring, asset protection, and creditor negotiations.
- Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with federal and state bankruptcy laws.
- Attend court hearings, client meetings, and creditor meetings as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in the United States with bankruptcy experience.
- Experience filing and litigating Chapter 7, 11, or 13 bankruptcy cases.
- Strong legal research and writing skills in bankruptcy law.
- Ability to analyze financial documents and client circumstances to develop case strategies.
- Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
