Summary: We're seeking a Mid Level Backend Engineer proficient in GoLang and GCP to join a product squad focused on developing innovative financial systems for a global reinsurer. The role involves designing scalable data platforms and automating tasks to enhance client efficiency. Candidates must have hands-on experience with API development and data management workflows. This position is fully remote for UK or EU-based applicants and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver scalable data platforms and services using GoLang in a cloud-native environment.
- Develop APIs and implement event-driven architecture.
- Extract and manage data workflows at scale.
- Collaborate with product squads to automate tasks and enhance data visualization tools.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in GoLang.
- Experience with GCP Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Postgres and SQL.
- Experience with BigQuery.

About the Role:
We're looking for a Mid Level Backend Engineer to join one of our high-performing product squads delivering cutting-edge financial systems for a global reinsurer in Bermuda.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable data platforms and services using GoLang in a modern cloud-native environment.
The mission is to enable our clients to do more with less people by automating time consuming tasks and providing next generation data visualisation tools.
We want the candidate to have recent hands on experience:
- Experience developing API's, Event driven Architecture.
- Extracting data, managing data workflows at scale.
