Senior Backend Engineer | Kotlin / Golang/ GCP 6-month contract | Outside IR35 Remote First – Occasional London based office visits Up to £500 per day An established consumer-facing technology business is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to support the continued evolution of high-scale backend services used by a large international user base. This role would suit an experienced contractor who is comfortable working in Kotlin-heavy backend environments, can operate with autonomy, and is confident helping teams move from legacy systems toward more modern, cloud-native services.
The role You will be involved in designing, building, and improving reliable backend services, working closely with product, mobile, platform, and engineering teams. The environment is fast-moving, product-focused, and requires someone who can turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction.
