Summary: We are looking for an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Subject Matter Expert with SC clearance to join a leading energy provider's Virtual Devices Team. The role involves operating and maintaining a large-scale AVD environment while adhering to business and security requirements. The position is remote, based in Gloucester, and is classified as inside IR35. The contract duration is 6 months with a potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run, operate, and develop the AVD environment in line with business and security requirements.
- Maintain and manage the Windows environment hosted within AVD.
- Configure and manage policies, profiles, and settings that support AVD operations.
- Provide direct end-user support and resolve complex technical issues.
- Oversee and maintain all aspects of the Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure.
Key Skills:
- SC Cleared (must hold active clearance at the time of application).
- In-depth understanding of Azure and AVD architecture, including design and migration best practices.
- Strong track record in the management, configuration, and deployment of AVD solutions.
- Experience in Windows OS administration within a virtual desktop environment.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) working practices.
