Summary: The Azure Security Architect role involves partnering with a Global Consulting Firm to support large-scale transformation projects in the security domain for a major financial services organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure architectures within Azure public cloud solutions.
  • Secure Azure infrastructure, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with senior security stakeholders and technical security departments.
  • Analyze and map business needs and processes with finance stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and implementation of business applications and financial solutions.
  • Conduct security architecture reviews and ensure integration within technology acquisition and delivery processes.
  • Participate in Security Architecture Design Forums and Architecture Review Boards.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Security Architect in large-scale Financial Services organizations.
  • Proven expertise in Azure public cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and processes (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response).
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and finance stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and architecture governance processes.

Salary (Rate): £80.00/hr

Detailed Description From Employer:

Robert Half is supporting their client, a Global Consulting Firm, in recruiting an Azure Security Architect to partner with them and their end client on large-scale transformation projects within the security space until the end of 2025 initial contract to help with a azure migration for a large global financial services organisation

Contract Assignment Details:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: until end of December 2025 - potential extension
  • Location : Primarily remote, with flexibility odd day in London
  • Rate: Approximately £ 585 per day plus 12.07% holiday pay ( Employer's NI and tax deducted at source (unlike umbrella companies, which deduct at source and charge admin fees))

The Azure Security Architect must have:

  • Extensive experience as a Security Architect in large-scale Financial Services organisations.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing secure architectures within Azure public cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of securing Azure infrastructure, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and processes, such as SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response within Azure environments.
  • The ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior security stakeholders and technical security departments.
  • Capability to engage with finance stakeholders to analyse and map business needs and processes.
  • Experience in leading the development and implementation of business applications and financial solutions.
  • A solid understanding of security architecture reviews and ensuring these are embedded within:
    • Technology acquisition and delivery processes.
    • Software development lifecycles.
    • Architecture governance processes.
  • Familiarity with participating in Security Architecture Design Forums and Architecture Review Boards.
