Summary: We are looking for an experienced Azure Intake Manager to lead the intake, assessment, and migration of applications to the Azure cloud platform. The role requires a strong background in Azure infrastructure and application migration planning, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth transition from on-prem or legacy environments to Azure while maintaining compliance with governance and cost-optimization frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the intake and assessment of applications targeted for migration or modernization in Azure.
- Collaborate with application owners, architects, and infrastructure teams to evaluate technical readiness and migration feasibility.
- Define and document migration strategies, timelines, and dependencies for each intake request.
- Oversee Azure resource provisioning, networking, storage, and identity management activities.
- Work closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure compliance with Azure governance and cost-optimization frameworks.
- Develop and maintain intake workflows, templates, and tracking dashboards for transparency.
- Identify potential risks or blockers in migration efforts and propose mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership on intake pipeline progress and Azure adoption metrics.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in Azure Cloud.
- Proven experience with Azure Infrastructure Services (VMs, VNets, Storage, IAM, Monitoring, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of application migration methodologies (rehost, refactor, replatform).
- Strong understanding of Azure Landing Zone, Governance, and Cost Management.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform is a plus.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-900 preferred.
