Summary: The Azure Infrastructure Architect role involves leading complex migration projects utilizing Azure services for a prominent technology company. The position requires expertise in Azure infrastructure, including migration, networking, and security solutions. Candidates must be based in Germany and possess at least a B2 level proficiency in German. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a focus on designing and implementing Azure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform infrastructure assessments and cloud readiness analysis using Azure Migrate
- Lead end-to-end Azure solutioning for complex migration projects across various industries (banking, healthcare, insurance)
- Design solutions aligned with Azure strategy, covering business, application, infrastructure, and value-driven considerations
- Plan and implement Azure Landing Zones based on customer infrastructure landscape
- Develop Azure target architectures with HLDs, LLDs, and service integration diagrams
- Provide BoM, pricing estimates, and licensing details for Azure environments
- Execute workload migrations from on-premises to Azure using Azure Migrate
- Troubleshoot performance, networking, cluster, I/O, and memory issues in Azure and Windows environments
- Design infrastructure solutions
- Design data storage solutions
- Design business continuity/DR solutions
- Design identity, governance, and monitoring solutions (at least minimum exposure)
- Work with Internal stakeholders, Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly
Key Skills:
- Experience with Azure services, including Azure infrastructure, migration, networking, and security
- Proficiency in performing cloud readiness analysis and infrastructure assessments
- Ability to design and implement Azure Landing Zones
- Experience in developing high-level and low-level designs for Azure architectures
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Azure and Windows environments
- Effective communication skills in German (B2 level or higher)
- Experience in working with stakeholders to gather migration requirements
