Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Azure Fabric Principal Hands-On Data Architect to design, lead, and implement end-to-end enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in data architecture, engineering, analytics, Power BI, and Azure cloud technologies, with the ability to lead engagements while actively contributing to technical implementation.

- Architect end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Real-Time Analytics workloads.
- Design and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations, including real-time reporting and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
- Build enterprise-grade data warehouses using dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Design and implement scalable data lakes and layered data pipelines using Delta Lake and Spark.
- Develop data ingestion and orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Fabric Dataflows.
- Support batch, streaming, and hybrid data scenarios using KQL and Azure Event Hub.
- Perform hands-on coding, debugging, troubleshooting, deployment, and optimization in Azure environments.
- Lead Azure data engagements from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment, optimization, and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, business stakeholders, and technical leaders to align data solutions with business objectives.
- Stay current with Azure and Microsoft Fabric innovations and recommend modern data architectures.
- Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews.
- Promote best practices related to security, compliance, governance, and cost optimization.
Required / Preferred Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and Analytics.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud data services.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Shortcuts, and Unified Analytics.
- Advanced Power BI experience, including:
- DAX
- Power Query
- Real-Time Reporting
- Fabric/Synapse Integration
- Strong experience with Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, and enterprise data architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines using Azure-native tools.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake, Spark, KQL, and Event Hub.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience leading greenfield projects, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate technical workshops.
