Summary: The Azure DevOps Engineer role is a fully remote, outside IR35 contract position with a leading global manufacturing company. The engineer will work on global projects, implementing modern DevOps practices while supporting both cloud-native and legacy applications. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Candidates should possess a balance of technical depth and a big-picture perspective, along with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement infrastructure and processes for cloud-native and Legacy applications.
- Build, configure, and enhance automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and application stability.
- Create and review technical documentation and procedures.
- Support operational tasks including change management and application monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to project management through accurate estimations and milestone delivery.
- Share insights and propose improvements to processes and technology.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure (other cloud experience beneficial).
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/DevSecOps.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Python, Go).
- Advanced knowledge of DevOps toolchains including Docker, Terraform, Git, Azure Git, Helm, Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Experience introducing DevOps processes and tools that deliver measurable business value.
- Strong knowledge of source control, test automation and distributed team collaboration.
- Passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
