Summary: The Azure Data Architect / Data Modeler role focuses on designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures and pipelines specifically for the insurance domain. The position requires extensive experience with Azure technologies and a strong understanding of data governance and management. The role is contract-based and offers the flexibility of remote work. Candidates should have a deep understanding of insurance-specific data models and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures and data pipelines.
- Create insurance-specific logical and physical data models supporting Policy, Claims, Billing, Rating, and Reporting functions.
- Ensure strong understanding of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Security, and Architectural Best Practices.
- Work with P&C Insurance stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Utilize Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
- Preferred experience with Databricks and PySpark.
