Summary: The role of Cloud Engineer (Azure) focuses on designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery and Terraform. The engineer will collaborate with the Cloud Architect and infrastructure team to ensure business continuity through effective cloud infrastructure management. This contract position requires a strong background in Microsoft Azure and related technologies. The role is remote and classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement disaster recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery.
- Design recovery plans and failover strategies for critical applications and services.
- Configure and manage replication, failover, and failback processes.
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, and virtual networks.
- Migrate workloads from on-premises to Azure.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
Key Skills:
- Minimum five years' experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center.
- Proven experience in Azure Cloud Security Services, Office 365, Intune, Defender, and Sentinel.
