Summary: The Azure Architect role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure. The position requires deep expertise in Azure services and a strong understanding of enterprise IT to align cloud strategies with business objectives. The architect will also manage migrations and ensure optimal performance of Azure systems while driving digital transformation initiatives. This is a 12-month contract with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Align cloud solutions with business objectives and drive digital transformation.
- Manage cloud migrations and ensure optimal performance of Azure-based systems.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools for deployment and management.
- Oversee networking, security, and identity management within Azure environments.
- Implement DevOps practices and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Azure Service Fabric and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate on hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, including IaaS and PaaS services.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., ARM, Terraform, Bicep).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management (Azure AD, RBAC).
- Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Azure Service Fabric and microservices architecture.
- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
