AWS Technical Architect - AWS, Active SC & NPPV3

Summary: The role of AWS Technical Architect requires an individual with Active SC & NPPV3 Clearance to work primarily in a remote capacity for a well-known consultancy. The position demands extensive experience in designing and operating enterprise-scale AWS environments, particularly within the Public Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading architectural decisions and ensuring operational readiness while adhering to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and operate enterprise-scale, multi-account AWS environments.
• Build landing zones, shared services, and guardrails while applying AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Deliver secure cloud architectures in regulated environments.
• Ensure operational readiness, platform resilience, and support on-call/out-of-hours models.
• Lead architectural decisions and mentor engineers and architects.
• Manage stakeholders effectively and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Key Skills:

• Proven commercial experience as an AWS Technical Architect within the Public Sector.
• Active SC & NPPV3 Clearance.
• Deep knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Experience in agile/DevOps environments with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Strong experience in delivering secure cloud architectures.
• Ability to ensure operational readiness and platform resilience.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

My client is an instantly recognisable consultancy who require an AWS Technical Architect with Active SC & NPPV3 Clearance.

Key Requirements:

• Proven commercial experience working as an AWS Technical Architect within the Public Sector.
• Active SC & NPPV3 Clearance.
• Extensive experience designing and operating enterprise-scale, multi-account AWS environments with deep knowledge of core services (eg VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Proven ability to build landing zones, shared services, guardrails, and apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles (security, reliability, performance, cost).
• Strong experience delivering secure cloud architectures in regulated environments, including IAM, network segmentation, monitoring, and governance-by-design approaches.
• Solid background in agile/DevOps environments with expertise in Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and automation-led delivery.
• Ability to ensure operational readiness, platform resilience, and support on-call/out-of-hours models.
• Strong stakeholder management, ability to lead architectural decisions, clearly communicate complex concepts, and mentor engineers and architects.
