Summary: The AWS Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) role involves leading technical architecture for bids and pre-sales engagements within a global organization focused on health and employment services. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen to shape and win complex transformation programs, particularly leveraging Amazon Connect and AI technologies. The architect will engage with senior stakeholders to articulate solutions and drive customer-centric strategies. This is a remote position with a contract length of six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical architecture input into RFPs, tenders and competitive bids
- Define high-level solution designs during pre-contract phases
- Develop compelling technical narratives aligned to customer challenges
- Support commercial teams in proposal defence sessions and client presentations
- Produce architecture artefacts and technical documentation for bid submissions
- Lead proof-of-concepts and demonstrations to validate feasibility and value
- Contribute to solution costing, assumptions and technical risk assessments
- Architect scalable Amazon Connect solutions leveraging AWS AI and data services
- Drive capability modelling sessions with business, vendor and technology stakeholders
- Define reusable patterns, standards and blueprints
- Translate business requirements and customer journeys into roadmap architectures
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance and data privacy frameworks
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer and internal stakeholders
- Present technical strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support thought leadership and innovation across AI and TXM programmes
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in a Matrix environment
- Proven experience supporting bids, tenders and pre-sales engagements for complex technology programmes
- Strong hands-on implementation experience with Amazon Connect
- Experience with Verint or comparable workflow/contact centre technologies
- Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, AI services and modern data platforms
- Ability to articulate technical value to commercial and executive audiences
- Experience leading workshops, discovery sessions and solution shaping engagements
- Strong stakeholder management across business, commercial and technology teams
- Agile mindset with ability to operate in fast-paced bid environments
- Experience within public sector or regulated industries
- Exposure to global delivery models
- Background in customer experience transformation or conversational AI
- Experience across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models

As part of our continued digital transformation, we are investing in AI-enabled customer experience and next-generation contact centre platforms. We are seeking an AWS Solution Architect with strong bid and pre-sales capability to help shape, position and win complex transformation programmes.
This role combines technical architecture leadership with commercial and customer-facing influence.
The RoleYou will play a key role across both pre-sales/bid phases and early-stage solution design. This is not purely a delivery architect position. You will support RFP responses, shape solution strategy, and articulate the value of Amazon Connect and AI-led transformation to senior stakeholders.
You will act as a technical ambassador, bridging commercial objectives, customer needs and scalable AWS architecture.
