Summary: The AWS Solution Architect role involves architecting, designing, and delivering significant AWS public cloud projects, focusing on PaaS and SaaS services. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement complex enterprise solutions and provide technical guidance. The role is remote with monthly travel to London and is classified as inside IR35. The contract duration is initially set for four months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting, designing and delivering significant AWS public cloud projects
- Supporting implementation and transformation programs for complex enterprise scale solutions
- Collaborating with Architects, Subject Matter Experts, and Solution Designers on IT solutions
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert to resolve complex client issues
- Providing technical guidance and support to development teams
- Offering expertise regarding infrastructure and application solutions in AWS
- Identifying and recommending best cloud architecture options and tools
- Designing technical reference models and roadmaps for AWS implementations
- Providing high-level design for AWS architecture and best practices
- Guiding security best practices and compliance standards in AWS environments
- Understanding AWS well-architected framework
- Architecting public/hybrid cloud solutions with AWS
- Understanding AWS IAM and Governance Services
- Utilizing IaC with CloudFormation and Terraform
- Designing services using Container Services (K8S, EKS, Fargate)
- Understanding cloud observability using CloudWatch, EventBridge, and X-Ray
- Implementing automation techniques using EventBridge, System Manager, and Lambda
- Understanding enterprise integration patterns and practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools
- Designing solutions using Ansible and Jenkins
- Managing AWS cost management tools and strategies
- Holding AWS Solution Architect-Professional certification
Key Skills:
- AWS Solution Architect-Professional certification
- Strong understanding of AWS well-architected framework
- Experience in architecting public/hybrid cloud solutions with AWS
